A statement from Mission Rabies

Around the world someone dies from rabies every 9 minutes. You can help change this.

Globally, rabies still claims the lives of more than 59,000 people each year, with 40% of human rabies deaths being children under 15 years old.

Despite being vaccine-preventable, it still causes unimaginable pain and suffering today.

With over 99% of human rabies cases being caused by an infected dog bite, fear of the disease leads to the persecution and death of millions of healthy dogs every year. But this does not stop the disease spreading.

We are working to end this cruel and deadly disease.

Through large-scale canine vaccinations, education programmes, and surveillance we are providing life-saving protection to communities living with the fear of rabies.

Get involved: volunteer with us, donate, follow us on social media and help stop the spread of rabies for good.
