Depocillin®
Injectable antibiotic of procaine penicillin for the treatment of infections caused by bacteria sensitive to penicillin.
Active Ingredients:
Procaine penicillin 300mg (300,000 IU) per mL.
Indications:
The treatment of infections caused by bacteria sensitive to penicillin in horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs and cats.
Dosage
Large animals: 1mL/25kg bodyweight i/m (12,000 IU/kg)
Small animals: 1mL/10kg bodyweight s/c (30,000 IU/kg)
Withholding Period
Milk: Cattle - Milk intended for sale for human consumption must be discarded during treatment and for the following times after the last treatment: One dose – 48 hours (4 milkings); two doses – 60 hours (5 milkings); 3 or more doses – 72 hours (6 milkings); Sheep - 35 days
Meat: Animals producing meat and offal for human consumption must not be sold for slaughter either during treatment or within: Cattle and sheep - 4 days; Pigs - 5 days; Horses - 63 days of the last treatment
Not for use in bobby calves.
