Intramammary antibiotic suspension for treatment of clinical mastitis. Each single dose injector contains 300 mg of Cephapirin and 20mg of Prednisolone in a rapid release base.

Lactating intramammary for dairy cattle

Active Ingredients  
300 mg cephapirin (as sodium salt) and 20 mg prednisilone


Indications 
Broad spectrum treatment of clinical mastitis in lactating cows caused by Gram positive bacteria and Gram negative bacteria sensitive to cephapirin. Prednisolone assists in the reduction in local signs of inflammation and fever induced by clinical mastitis and rapid recovery in milk production.


Dosage
For cows milked twice a day: The contents of one syringe should be infused into each affected
quarter via the teat canal, immediately after milking, at 12-hour intervals for four consecutive
milkings.


For cows milked once a day: The contents of one syringe should be infused into each affected
quarter via the teat canal, immediately after milking, at 24-hour intervals, for three consecutive
milkings, or, if extended therapy is warranted, for six consecutive milkings.


Withholding Period 
MILK: For cows milked and treated twice a day: Milk intended for sale for human consumption must be discarded during treatment and for not less than 10 milkings or approximately 120 hours following the last treatment.
For cows milked and treated once a day: Milk intended for sale for human consumption must be discarded during treatment and for not less than 7 milkings or approximately 168 hours following the last treatment.

MEAT: Cattle producing meat or offal for human consumption must not be sold for slaughter either during treatment or within 3 days of the last treatment.
