Cefa-Safe®

Intramammary antibiotic suspension for routine dry cow therapy. Each single dose injector contains 300mg cephapirin benzathine in a long acting base.

Drying off intrammamary for dairy cattle.

Active Ingredients 
Cephapirin 300mg as cephapirin benzathine.

Indications 
For the treatment of subclinical mastitis and prevention of mastitis caused by bacteria sensitive to cephapirin in cows at drying off.

Dosage
1 syringe per quarter immediately after final milking.

Withholding Period
Milk: Treatment to be at least 28 days before calving. If calving occurs within 28 days of the last treatment, milk to be sold for human consumption may be taken only after the full 28 days from treatment and a further 8 milkings have elapsed. Milk (colostrum) from the first 8 milkings after calving should be prevented from directly entering the human food chain.
Meat: Cattle producing meat and offal for human consumption must not be sold for slaughter either during treatment or within 21 days of the last treatment.
