Nobivac® Forcat
Active Ingredients:
A live attenuated freeze-dried vaccine containing feline herpesvirus type 1 (rhinotracheitis), feline calicivirus, feline panleucopaenia virus (MW-1) and Chlamydophila felis.
Indications:
For active immunisation of cats to reduce clinical signs caused by infections with feline herpesvirus (FHV), feline calicivirus (FCV), feline panleucopaenia virus (FPLV) or C. felis; to reduce replication of FCV; and to prevent shedding of FPLV.
The duration of immunity for FCV, FHV and C. felis components is one year.
The duration of immunity for FPLV is 3 years.
If earlier vaccination is desirable or necessary, vaccination with Nobivac Forcat is appropriate for use in kittens from 6 weeks of age.
Dosage
The contents of one vial of reconstituted vaccine should be injected subcutaneously. Reconstitute immediately prior to use by addition of one vial of Nobivac Diluent.
For an initial vaccination, two doses are required, at an interval of 3 to 4 weeks. The first inoculation is given from the age of 8-9 weeks and the second inoculation from the age of 12 weeks. If earlier protection is desirable or necessary, vaccination is safe from 6 weeks of age onwards, but should be followed by the normal initial vaccination scheme at 8-9 weeks and 12 weeks.
Revaccination
A single dose according to the following schedule:
Revaccination against FCV, FHV and C. felis must be given every year (Nobivac Forcat or Nobivac Ducat)
Revaccination against FPLV may be given up to 3 years apart (Nobivac Forcat or Nobivac Tricat Trio)
