Nobivac® Forcat – for risk-based kitten vaccination. Nobivac Forcat is a core vaccine containing feline panleucopaenia virus, feline herpesvirus and feline calicivirus, with additional Chlamydophila felis protection. Nobivac Forcat is used in a vaccination programme as an alternative to Nobivac Tricat Trio when protection against feline chlamydial disease is required. Nobivac Forcat is the only Chlamydia vaccine that is registered for use in kittens as young as 6 weeks of age. Feline chlamydial disease Chlamydophila felis infects the eyes of cats and can cause a severe and persistent conjunctivitis – in fact it is the most common cause of infectious conjunctivitis in cats. There may also be signs of sneezing and nasal discharge in affected animals as C. felis is also a cause of cat flu. Cats of any age can get this disease, however, as is the case with many other diseases, signs of disease are most commonly seen (and can be most severe) in young kittens. C. felis is spread by direct contact between infected and susceptible animals. Talk to your local vet about your cat’s lifestyle and an appropriate Nobivac vaccination programme.
Available only under veterinary authorisation. ACVM Registration No. A8299.
